Impact LX88/LX88+: Switching controls on/off for split and layer

Impact LX88/LX88+ feature Layer and Split zones, each sending on a unique MIDI channel.

Foot Switch, Pitch Bend Wheel, and Modulation Wheel can be turned on or off for each of the two zones.

Instructions for the LX88+

  1. Press the ‘Preset’ button.
  2. Hold ‘Shift/Mute’ and press ‘Patch > (Setup)’. The display will say ‘S.E.t.’
  3. Press key ‘C2’ (labeled ‘Global MIDI Ch’). The display will show the current value (001-016).
  4. Press the ‘Split’ or ‘Layer’ button. The button will begin to flash and the channel associated with that zone will appear on the display.
  5. Move the Pitch Bend Wheel, Mod Wheel, or press the Sustain pedal connected to the foot switch input. The display will say ‘O.F.F.’
  6. Press key ‘C3’ (labeled with a ‘-‘). The display should now say ‘.O.n.’
  7. Hold ‘Shift/Mute’ and press ‘Patch >’ to exit Setup Mode.

  1. Press the ‘Preset’ button.
  2. Press ‘Setup’. The display will say ‘S.E.t.’
  3. Press key ‘C2’ (labeled ‘Global MIDI Ch’). The display will show the current value (001-016).
  4. Press the ‘Split’ or ‘Layer’ button. The button will begin to flash and the channel associated with that zone will appear on the display.
  5. Move the Pitch Bend Wheel, Mod Wheel, or press the Sustain pedal connected to the foot switch input. The display will say ‘O.F.F.’
  6. Press key ‘C3’ (labeled with a ‘-‘). The display should now say ‘.O.n.’
  7. Press ‘Setup’ to exit Setup Mode.
