Aruba New Features

January 31, 2023, Aruba new features information. The update is expected to be released on March 1 2023 and coincides with the rebranding of Aura to Aruba. For more information, see the Aruba FAQ.

Sequencer Record

The Aruba drum machine style step sequencer already provide all the programming options of a traditional drum machine enhanced by detailed editing options. With the addition of the new record feature, Aruba has become a powerhouse beat creation tool that makes the process of composing a rhythmic starting point, or a finish beat, a fun and simple process.

The record feature captures steps as the pads are played in real time. Steps are quantized to the selected play rate (i.e 1/8, 1/16, etc) which can be set individually for every pattern, part and even step.

Existing steps are replaced by new captured steps during overdub.

Using Repeat, steps can be recorded by simply holding a pad. Even Repeat mode parameter adjustments can be recorded, such as play rate, velocity and gate changes. Steps can be edited in realtime using the 16 RGB buttons while the 8 pots enable on-the-go editing of step parameters including velocity, gate and play rate.

Nektarine K1, S1 and T1 Drum Instruments

Nektarine software (VST, VST3,AU, AAX plugin and stand-alone app) is an integrate part of Aruba. Already enabling users to host up to 16 plugin instruments along with effect plugins, it now includes 4 drum instruments of it’s own.
